Chappy relaunches to empower healthy relationships

Chappy, the social connection app for gay men, today announced its new brand identity, management team and Manhattan HQ as it continues its mission of providing the safest, most rewarding platform to connect gay men across all facets of their lives.

The Chappy team has been busy over the last few months listening to their users and the wider community about what people need and want from their love life. With that feedback, they went back to the drawing board and thought about the realities of finding what people look for in modern love and romance. This rebranding and redevelopment comes after Chappy received backing from Bumble with advisory from Whitney Wolfe Herd.

The Chappy scale has been overhauled and you’ll now find these three options on there:

Cute: If you’re looking for something sweet that might just go the distance, this is for you.

Sexy: This is the side for when you’re feeling bold & adventurous. The guys here love spontaneous plans.

Cute & Sexy: If you can’t pick (it’s hard, we know) you can stick in the middle.

Chappy’s new management team includes Head of Brand Sam Dumas, a veteran of the digital media space who has spent the past four years at Conde Nast, leading experience marketing for Vanity Fair and W magazine. Dumas, who has been given co-founder status as a part of Chappy’s strategic shift, will work alongside one of Chappy’s original co-founders Max Cheremkhin in evolving the app’s growth strategy, brand and user experience.

“At its heart, Chappy is engineered to empower gay men to form positive, healthy relationships based in kindness and mutual respect, and that’s something I’m extremely passionate about,” added Dumas. “Collaborating with tech titans like Andrey and Whitney is an incredible opportunity and I’m honored to be a part of what’s going to be an inspiring next chapter for the brand.”

Taking a page from its sister app, Bumble, the look and feel of the app have been elevated to better reflect Chappy’s mission and values, as well as meeting the demands of existing users looking for a safe and empowering community to meet like-minded men.

With safety at the forefront of the Chappy experience, there is zero tolerance for abuse or bullying of any kind. Users reported for violating Chappy’s terms and conditions risk a permanent ban from the app.

Chappy is now positioned to provide the safest connection experience for gay men on a global scale and Queer Forty is right behind them. There are lots of dating apps on the market but we love this concept that stands apart from the others and helps men create meaningful connections in a safe & genuine system.

Chappy is available for free in the App Store and Google Play
