Anne Steele has the Christmas concert for you

A very special singer, a landmark venue…just in time to deliver some much-needed Christmas joy!

Join out singer Anne Steele in Anne Steele in I’ll Be Home For Christmas…Cause Where Else Ya Gonna Go? Anne is so happy to play the brand new City Winery NYC for the first time for a very special evening of holiday spirit with songs you know and love so you can sing along with her.

The last time Anne was able to play live in NYC was in January 2020 at City Vineyard. And then came the pandemic. She is so excited to again take the stage at a fabulous Michael Dorf venue, accompanied by William TN Hall on piano.

The strictly-limited capacity, invitation-only, in-person concert is on December 17th and will be live-streamed for us to enjoy.

Multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Anne Steele will perform live at City Winery NYC

Anne is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and recording artist who has sold out concerts and dazzled audiences in NYC for over 19 years. She released her CD Made Out Of Stars in 2019, and toured extensively to sold out audiences from LA to Chicago to Nashville to London. Anne has played City Winery in NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville and Boston and will head at Philadelphia as soon as it reopens. Anne has also been a headliner with Atlantis Events, RSVP Vacations and R Family Vacations touring the high seas for over 15 years. We grabbed a quick chat with this out and proud artist:

You’re venturing out for your first ‘big’ live gig during the pandemic. What were the best and worst things about being in lockdown?

The best things about being in lockdown are sometimes hard to see. However I have made a real effort to find the silver linings in these many difficult months. One thing that has been positive is that we have been able to spend a lot more time with our two youngest children, who are 18 and 20. We have had lots of family time and have truly enjoyed that part of it all. We have also gotten to know our neighbors much better. Because we were always traveling we didn’t have many connections at our home. Now we know we can always count on them and they can count on us.

What are you most proud of achieving during this difficult time?

When this all began, I started doing couch concerts in March. I decided to raise money to send meals to frontline and essential workers and for City Harvest in NYC. Over 10 weeks I raised over $50,000 and I actually sent all of the meals every week by delivery! It was a very fulfilling time because when we all felt so helpless it gave me a purpose. Plus all of the people that donated felt like they were a part of helping others, too.

What are you most looking forward to about your gig?

I never realized how much I love performing live in a venue like City Winery. I have toured for so long, I suppose I started to take it all for granted. That will never happen again. I can’t wait to stand on the stage with a real piano and sound system and actually connect with people, even if it’s through the live stream. Plus, I LOVE holiday music! My Musical Director William TN Hall with be there with me and we can’t wait to bring some holiday spirit directly into the homes of our friends and fans.
