First look at the upcoming thriller, Smile
The horror genre continues its LGBTQ streak with Smile.
A love of terror must run in the Bacon family. With buzz still swirling around the trailer for They/Them starring Kevin Bacon, Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for their upcoming horror thriller Smile, starring Bacon’s daughter Sosie.
After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.
The trailer teases a film that echoes horror favorites It Follows and The Ring with a supernatural stalker seemingly attached to a singular person, working towards their complete demise.
The film, written and directed by Parker Finn also stars Jessie T Usher (The Boys, Independence Day: Resurgence), Robin Weigert (Concussion, Deadwood) and Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar, Clarice).
Smile will be released in theaters on September 30.
