This magical land is filled to the brim with sea, mountains, historic villages, buzzing cities and erupting volcanoes. Lest we mention the incredible food, wine and people who seem to effortlessly ooze style from every pore whilst nonchalantly driving a Ferrari.

This month we bring you a selection of three exquisite Italian properties. We will take you from the historic port of Trieste to the canals of Venice and on to the home of the world-famous Palio in Siena.

Trieste

This historic landmark building on the waterfront in Trieste, Italy, is home to a stylish 3-bed, 3-bath penthouse apartment now for sale.

The apartment’s 240m2 net living space is comprised of a spacious grand entry way, a large kitchen with island, a large dining room and living room separated by built in fireplace, a master bedroom with walk-in dressing room and master en-suite, two other double bedrooms each with generous built in wardrobes, two other large bathrooms and a cleverly hidden, but spacious laundry room.

Architecturally designed and refurbished in 2020 using the finest materials and finishes, this large sea view apartment has remained untouched since the renovations were completed.

The grade 2 heritage building is located only 200 metres from the main square.

Recent significant improvements have been made to restore the heritage facade and modernize utilities.

Included in these upgrades so far have been the installation of a security intercom system, the replacement of the entire roof in 2018 to bring it up to modern standards and the full restoration of the facade.

Planned works remain for the upgrade of the building common areas including the entrance, all covered under the existing building fund. All works have been completed to council requirements and inspections have all been passed and certification provided.

The apartment contains state of the art appliances in the kitchen and living areas, new air-conditioning and heating throughout.

Renovations to the apartment included a full service upgrade, replacing all wiring, upgrading plumbing and installing a new electrical switchboard.

In addition, the title contains a separate large 40m2 space easily accessible by stairs with power, intended to be used as a private gym plus secure storage.

There is added potential for conversion of the attic to create a terrace but no plans or permission have been sought to date

Venice

Venice is such a unique and wonderful city. Venice Lido is the quiet, peaceful and green thin island that stretches between open sea and lagoon. Only 10 minutes away from St Mark’s square, both by public or private transportation, or half an hour by ferryboat leaving from Tronchetto.

Venice Lido is the least crowded and therefore the most enjoyable seaside resort of the whole upper Adriatic. The beach is spread along its whole 12km length.

This Liberty-era Villa is divided in 2 separate and completely independent apartments, both with private gardens.

This 200m2 2-bed, 2-bath ground floor apartment has been completely restored with high quality materials.

Set over 2 floors, the main entrance leads you to the first floor: a magnificent wide sitting room, modern kitchen, one en-suite bedroom and a second room, now used as a studio.

A modern internal staircase takes you down to the ground floor, with a wonderful opening to the garden of 750 sqm, two studios and a large modern bathroom.

The room opening to the garden is a beautiful space, furnished like a small lounge bar to enjoy time with friends.

The property has a driveway and gate.

The location is very strategic, walking distance from the area which hosts the International Film Festival, Mostra Internazionale del Cinema.
