Las Vegas dazzles with drag offerings
Las Vegas provides an oasis for one of our favorite and time-honored forms of entertainment to thrive, drag!
Las Vegas has historically been a home for female impersonators and drag artists of all types. In fact, some historians estimate that drag has been a staple of Las Vegas nightlife for approximately 100 years! Today, many bars and venues in Las Vegas have made a point of incorporating world-class drag entertainment into their offerings.
RuPaul Reigns!
Immerse yourself in the glamour and epic artistry of the phenomenon that is the RuPaul drag franchise at RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE!, an original production based on the Emmy Award-winning reality drag show competition that made countless queens household names. Co-directed by drag legend RuPaul and award-winning choreographer and filmmaker Jamal Sims, you will not be disappointed as a dazzling lineup of drag queens channel their inner Vegas-worthy “showgirls”! The rotating roster of stars include Aquaria, Asia O’Hara, Derrick Barry, Eureka O’Hara, Jaida Essence Hall and Jorgeous strutting their stuff in the opulent surrounds of Flamingo Showroom.
Earlier this summer, the team celebrated its 500th performance of the most sickening eleganza extravaganza in Las Vegas history. The occasion was marked by a special appearance by RuPaul, who greeted the sold-out crowd and made a special cameo appearance during the show’s infamous slap game.
With over-the-top costumes, visually stunning sets and jaw-dropping performances, RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE! serves the audience a drag experience like they’ve never seen before. Audiences are guaranteed a different experience each night, with a fabulous show featuring six different stars.
The show takes place Thursday through Monday at 9:30 p.m. with an additional 7 p.m. show on Fridays. Tickets start at $49, plus applicable tax and fees, and are available for purchase here.
While you’re at Flamingo Las Vegas, don’t forget to pay a visit to RuPaul’s Werk Room, the retail outlet designed just like the workroom in RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE!. This is where you can meet the performers, shop for curated gifts and merchandise, and indulge in a makeover!

Drag Yourself to a Gay Bar
In fact, Las Vegas’ best gay bars also put on a drag performance, though it’s a completely different ambiance, so head over to Las Vegas’ premiere country-themed gay bar, Charlie’s Las Vegas, to check it out! Monday is karaoke night with Amora Dior Black, Thursday is drag bingo with Titz ‘n’ Leggz, and Friday is Drag Warz hosted by Katana St. James. The drink specials are unbeatable, and each weekend boasts even more drag events such as Sickening Sunday starring Charlie’s Las Vegas, Angelz. They’re open late, so it’s a great place to keep partying!
Voted best LGBT Bar by Las Vegas Weekly Readers, and voted 3rd Best Gay Bar in the US by Yelp, The Phoenix Bar & Lounge offers high-energy drag shows that sparkle under the club’s state-of-the-art lighting and sound system. As a dynamic, modern, vibrant venue in the heart of Las Vegas, this is a must visit!
