Take a first look at gay-themed Aussie film, Of An Age

Focus Features will release new Australian movie, Of An Age in select theaters on February 10, 2023.

Of An Age is set in the summer of 1999 as a 17-year-old Serbian born, Australian amateur ballroom dancer experiences an unexpected and intense 24-hour romance with a friend’s older brother.

Gay-themed films from Down Under are notable rarities but usually end up being classics: Think Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, All About E, or Head On. There is also a group of films from Australia that find favor with LGBTQ audiences worldwide, such as Strictly Ballroom and Muriel’s Wedding. But gritty, gay coming-of-age dramas from the Great Southern Land are something to behold and worth putting in your viewing queue.

Expanding to all platforms on February 17, 2023, Of An Age is written and directed by Goran Stolevski with a production team of Kristina Ceyton, Samantha Jennings, Stephen Kelliher, Phil Hunt, and Compton Ross.

The cast presents young up-and-comers Elias Anton, Thom Green, and Hattie Hook.
