Pride Shabbat initiative from OneTable on Fridays in June

OneTable, a national non-profit that empowers adults up to and around the age of 39 to find, share, and enjoy Shabbat dinners, today announced the launch of the Pride Shabbat initiative to celebrate Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community.

“We want everyone to feel welcome as their own, authentic, individual selves,” said Eva Laporte, Director of Marketing + Communications at OneTable. “We know that when people can gather from a place of authenticity, conversations and connections feel deeper and more genuine. We invite the OneTable queer and ally community to host Pride Shabbats every Friday in June. Together, we can ensure that each person has the power and support to show up in a way that is present and holy for them.”

“Shabbat dinner should be a joyous, inclusive event,” Naomi Davis (they/them), OneTable Miami’s Field Manager added. “We encourage everyone to host their own Pride Month Shabbats each Friday in June. Our website enables anyone to find a dinner, become a host, or learn more about building community through our values of joy, welcoming, and elevation.”

OneTable is “nourishing” (subsidizing) Pride Shabbats and will help participants elevate their dinners with resources and up to $10 per guest, up to $100. For more information or to become a host, visit onetable.org/pride.

In addition, OneTable is excited to partner with JQ International, Lesbian Bar Project, Keshet, and other local partners on the Pride Shabbat initiative. Offerings are listed at onetable.org/pride, and include:
