Spend a night in jail with John Waters and have dinner with Murray Bartlett!
The Provincetown Film Society (PFS) has announced details for its fourth annual winter auction. Taking place online February 2-11, 2024, the the PFS annual winter auction features a variety of items, experiences, and getaways, including “A Night in Jail with John Waters” and a private dinner for two with Emmy Award-winning actor Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, Welcome to the Chippendales, Tales of the City, Looking).
“A Night in Jail with John Waters” is a once-in-a-life sentence experience. Four lucky inmates will get the chance to go behind bars to dine and spend the night in Provincetown Jail with John Waters in July 2024. After a private meal served by Chef Jacob Hetnarski, inmates can return to their cells for the night, or prowl the corridors in the hopes of making friends – just be up in time for 6am parole!
All proceeds will benefit the mission of Provincetown Film Society to present and advocate for gender, racial, and LGBTQ+ representation on screen by providing year-round programming and platforms that allow voices of all kinds to be heard, as well as the upcoming 26th annual Provincetown International Film Festival, which runs June 12-16, 2024.

John Waters is a writer, director, photographer and performer. He has written and directed sixteen movies and authored ten books including his last novel, Liarmouth. His one man spoken-word show “Devil’s Advocate” will be performed this summer at Town Hall on July 25th.
About Jake Hetnarski
Chef Jake Hetnarski first started cooking at Barbara Lynch Restaurants: No.9 Park, Stir, and Menton at the ripe age of 13. Shortly after completing high school, he landed a job at New York restaurant Prune, under tutelage of Ashley Merriman. Jake just created and launched Sweet Somethings Supper Club. All the while, Jake also continues to take on unique and challenging culinary endeavors.
