RIP Doris Day, classy, funny, with a voice that will never be forgotten – thank you for your movies.
Oh my gawww…did you see the first Judy trailer with Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland? Oy. Looks like they shot over the rainbow and missed. It looks like a Lifetime move with a bigger budget. Let’s hope its not as messy as it seems. It practically starts the trailer with Renee looking to the camera saying GIVE ME THE OSCAR! I kid… Kind of!
Honey I Shrunk the creativity! Even Honey I Shrunk the Kids is getting a reboot – with Frozen and Beauty & the Beast star Josh Gad. Oh Gaaadddd.
A movie theater in Canada accidentally played La Llorona instead of Detective Pikachu and the kids in the audience were traumatized. According to movie reviews, they probably would have been just as traumatized having to sit through Pikachu.
Suicide Squad might be getting Benicio Del Toro as its villain. As much as the first film was a flop, the sequel might be better with the addition of Del Toro, Idris Elba replacing Will Smith, and John Cena in spandex rounding up the team.
Mel Gibson is back on the big screen as Santa Claus in Fatman, a comedy that showcases Gibson as a darker, outside the box version of Santa Claus who gets wrapped up in an assassination plot. Got it, Bad Santa with a racist. Cute.
Another film is getting a female version reboot – Cliffhanger, originally starring Sylvester Stallone, is currently casting, even though a script hasn’t even been finalized.
Angelina Jolie is back as Maleficent in the new trailer, just released. I had to check the date of the trailer to make sure I wasn’t just watching the trailer to the first one.
Bohemian Rhapsody has grossed over $900 million with a $52 million budget, but the original Queen band members haven’t been paid anything! Interesting, even Bryan Singer who left the film gets about $40 million from his contract.
Rami Malek will join Denzel Washington for Little Things, a crime drama. Girrrllll, didn’t you see those death stares Denzel was giving at the Oscars when Rami won? Move over, Denzel – Rami might just be the Supreme. You in danger, girl!
Mark Walhberg is the latest to join the new, animated Scooby Doo film also starring Zac Efron, Will Forte, Gina Rodriguez and Amanda Seyfried. Zoinks!
Peter Jackson has some cinematic morals – he said no to directing Aquaman – twice! He knew that even he couldn’t make that script work.
We were lead to believe The Purge was over, but Purge 5 is confirmed and the script is being worked on right now. I see the Purge every Sunday night after my date with Pizza Hut.
Interesting Fact: George Clooney told Ben Affleck not to play Batman, not having the best time of it himself and not really the feather in his career cap. Obviously Affleck didn’t listen…and look what happened.
