Calling all goddesses

Cat Lantigua invites you to join her Goddess Council, a safe space for women’s empowerment.

As a first-generation Dominican-Amercian, Cat Lantigua learned to navigate the nuance of community, identity, advocacy, self-care and storytelling in everyday life. After moving to New York City alone and suffering from loneliness and depression, Cat created Goddess Council — a vulnerable, authentic community that ushers in honest, meaningful conversations and nourishing exchange. This tender space brings together all womxn who are looking to make new friendships, participate in meaningful conversations, and heal collectively.

Goddess Council brings together all womxn who are looking to make new friendships, participate in meaningful conversations, and heal collectively. GC is a sisterhood and wellness community for women creating deep connections, healing and joy! Since 2018, GC has been raising awareness around social wellness by bringing people together in a meaningful and authentic way. Right now GC meets virtually and welcomes you to join them! 

Cat extended the Goddess Council platform as a tender space  and community for Penda N’Diaye (CEO and co-founder of ProHoe) Sexual Wellness workshop starting February 23, 2021. Many of our ancestors believed in fluidity within gender presentation and sexual practices before being colonized. For example, many BIPOC folks believed in things such as, hijra (a third gender term in India), Òrìṣà (a trans spiritual leader the ancient West Yoruba religion and Carribean), two-spirit (a third gender described in Native American culture) and more.  In this workshop you’ll learn a brief history of indigenous and Native people pre-colonization.

During the workshop, Penda will discuss a brief history of indigenous and Native people pre-colonization, how to unlearn the complex history of mono-heteronormativity, and how these sexual standards may affect our daily perspectives of others.

There are three sessions for the Sexual Wellness Workshop:

• Session 2: 3/23-Reclaiming and Defining Your Pleasure
• Session 3: 4/23-Communicating + Implementing Pleasure in Relationships
