Celine Dion celebrates a magnifique milestone

Happy anniversary, Celine Dion! Falling Into You turns 25 today.

March 12th, 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the best-selling hit album from global superstar vocalist Celine Dion, Falling Into You.

The album is Dion’s most critically and commercially successful album becoming one of the best-selling music albums in history with sales of over 32 million copies worldwide. Falling Into You topped the charts around the world, including number one in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Australia and many more.

The album was certified Diamond, Multi-Platinum, Platinum and Gold around the world selling eleven million copies in the US, over three million in the United Kingdom, over one million in Germany, France, Canada and Australia, and in Europe it has sold over nine million units. It won Grammy Awards for Best Pop Album and the academy’s highest honor, Album of the Year.

Five singles were released from Falling Into You in Europe, four in Australia, and three in North America. The major success came with:

  • “Because You Loved Me”, the theme from Up Close & Personal (number one in the United States, Canada and Australia)
  • “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” (number one in Canada, Belgium and number two in the US)
  • Eric Carmen’s “All by Myself” (top ten in various countries, including number four in the US)
