Finally, a sustainable local vodka perfect for Summer cocktails
Vodka made in Florida, filtered through oyster shells and bottled in cardboard? We were intrigued and had to take a taste!
Have you had to say goodbye to Russian vodka recently? Never mind. Here is a U.S.-made brand that is eco-friendly, sustainable, ethically made and handcrafted. In fact, it’s the first U.S. vodka to come in a 94% recycled cardboard bottle and filtered through oyster shells, one of nature’s purification miracles.
Half Shell Vodka is a homegrown, sustainably operated vodka made by hand in small batches from locally sourced ingredients and family farmed crops. It is distilled 18 times and then passed through a one-of-a-kind activated coconut carbon and oyster shell filter.
Half Shell Vodka was founded by duo Harrison and brother-in-law David in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida in 2019. They wanted to make craft spirits in a way that reflects and helps to protect the stunning ecology of the Florida Panhandle. Their vodka is made by hand in small batches from locally sourced, family-farmed ingredients, and they take pride in distilling world-class spirits just miles away from the sugar-sand beaches of 30A. Their mission is to protect and improve the Gulf Coast community, and they are actively involved in local coastal cleanups and ocean conservancy work.
Make this easy-drinking, refreshing Summer cocktail at home while knowing you’ve done something good for the planet rather than remaining numb to it.
