Here are some teaser pics from the Max Original cooking competition series The Big Brunch, created and hosted by Dan Levy, which will premiere November 10 on HBO Max.
From Boardwalk Pictures and Levy’s Not A Real Production Company, the eight-episode series will launch with the first three episodes, followed by three additional episodes on November 17 and concluding with two final episodes on November 24.
Centering around one of the most versatile, yet underrated, dining experiences, The Big Brunch celebrates inspiring and undiscovered culinary voices from every corner of the country. The competition will give ten talented chefs the opportunity to share their stories and business dreams while vying for a life altering $300,000 cash prize. With Levy acting as host and judge alongside fellow culinary experts chef Sohla El-Waylly and restaurateur Will Guidara,The Big Brunch aims to serve up the next generation of success stories in American cuisine.
When asked by Entertainment Weekly about the show’s judging panel Levy, the former host of The Great Canadian Baking Show, said: “I think it’s a rare alchemy to have an enthusiast, a chef, and a restaurateur coexisting in a way where we really appreciate each other. I think as a trio, we’re able to offer a really comprehensive world of criticism, constructive criticism.”
Dan Levy is of course best known for his role as co-creator and star of the beloved sitcom Schitt’s Creek on which he played the sarcastic and lovable David Rose. In 2020 he became the first person in history to win four Emmys in all four major categories (producing, acting, writing and directing) for his work on the show. Since the series concluded he has appeared in in the HBO film Coastal Elites and was recently announced to have joined the cast of the fourth season of Sex Education.
The Big Brunch will debut in November exclusively on HBOmax.
