First look: Saltburn starring Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi
With the intriguing pairing of Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi, and the always magnetic presence of Rosamund Pike, Saltburn will be the must-see movie of Thanksgiving.
Academy Award winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) brings us a beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire. Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.
Starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, and Carey Mulligan, the genre-defying feature from MGM is directed By Emerald Fennell and produced by Margot Robbie and Josey McNamara.
During an interview with British GQ, Elordi revealed that he had to deal with speculation that he was gay in his school days due to his ambition to become an actor. The Euphoria star said, “From the moment I did a play I was called gay at school. But I had this abundance of confidence in myself because I could do both: I was quite good at sport and I think I was quite good at theater. I felt like I was above it, or it made me feel older. It made me feel wiser.”
Saltburn is to be released on November 24.
