Island House Resort Key West to Reopen June 1st
Island House Hotel and Resort Key West is scheduled to reopen on 1st June.
The fully clothing optional gay men’s resort, which has consistently been a beacon of great service, is set to reopen with an array of new practices in place, as well as following the local Monroe County directives and CDC Guidelines to ensure as much safety as possible.
Masks will be required to enter the property and it will be operating at only 50% capacity. Pool parties are temporarily suspended and the tables will be further spaced out around the pool to allow socially distanced dining.
Its clothing optional policy will remain, however, you will have to cover your chair with a pool towel, sarong, or something else before sitting down. This policy will now be in place ongoing.”
“We plan on offering the same great food, great drinks, and great service. Housekeeping will be following CDC directives to allow the safest cleaning procedures for every room daily, including the option to refuse housekeeping service, or simply request drop-off towels/sheets if so desired. Island House is a resilient place. Our TEAM and our guests cherish the experience we provide, and we are committed to providing as impactfull of an experience now as we did before. Only now, we’ll do it with some truly fabulous looking masks!”
Jeff Smead – Marketing Director
Also, instead of happy hour at 5PM everyday (which creates a large crowd at the same time), the bar will be giving drink tickets to guests to receive their complimentary cocktails. These tickets can be used any time through that day to allow a slower flow of demand, while keeping the commitment to guests.
