Love on the Peacock Express explores older women’s sexuality
Gaming isn’t just for kids. There are some quirky, fun and intriguing games including our first foray into gay-ming: Love on the Peacock Express.
It’s easy to look at Love on the Peacock Express and say, well, it’s about hot MILFs and being a private investigator. You wouldn’t exactly be wrong, but it isn’t the whole truth either. There’s more to this game than meets the eye, and if you really aren’t interested in anything but hot MILFs, then, well, this game can still be for you.
You play as a private investigator who will be traveling on the train all week, seeing sights, kissing ladies and trying your very best not to end up trying to uncover another mystery. As you can probably tell, trying to avoid an investigation is near impossible, especially when the four possible ladies you can choose to bunk with are just so darn suspicious.
There are four love interests, with the first three being Vic, a ridiculously hot butch lady who loves motorcycles, her daughter, and being a thief. Iris, a diva whose family has appeared at the worst time, and Cassandra, a silver fox CEO who fears being ousted from her company. There’s also a fourth love interest that only unlocks after you complete the third romance, which I won’t spoil, but I promise they give you just as many heart eyes as the previous three.
I played through all possible routes, and one of the main things that stood out to me is the stark difference in what makes a MILF from a queer perspective. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t know too many people who wouldn’t risk it all for Julianne Moore or Cate Blanchett, but it’s obvious that Love on the Peacock Express knows its audience is queer women, and it shows in the way our loveable MILFs are designed.
They all have varying different body types for one, with Iris being a tall, but curvy woman with flabby arms, whereas Vic is shaped more like a pencil with a more angular jaw. The level of detail in even the smallest of things makes this game one that allows queer women – particularly those whom are older – to explore both age and attraction.
Alternatively, the game isn’t afraid to explore the sexuality of older women. With each love interest, the endgame does imply that there will be some incredible amount of steamy loving going on throughout the rest of the week in your shared cabin. While you don’t see anything, the implication, paired with the art that you unlock – which can be as subtle as leaning in close, to outright kissing, is a nice touch. Far too many times media have implied that the older you get, the less you care about sex. Love on the Peacock Express is here to tell you that is from the truth.
These two points: exploration of older women and their sexuality, makes this game one of the most unique I’ve played in a while and if you want to find love with some MILFs, then head on over to itch.io to try it out for yourself.
