Musical parody of Stranger Things cast announced!
Stranger Things, the hit Netflix sci-fi horror drama series has received an Off-Broadway musical send-up, which is also a hit! Now, the run of Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical has now been extended.
Extended by popular demand through March 5, Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical resumes performances January 13 at Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s (308 W. 46th Street) following a brief New Year’s hiatus.
For the extension, new cast members Nickolaus Colon as Hopper and Kyle Mangold as Steve/Jonathan join original cast members Jamir Brown as Lucas, Jeremiah Garcia as Dustin, Caroline Huerta as Joyce/Will, Jeffrey Laughrun as Mike, Harley Seger as Eleven / Nancy, SLee as Barb, and swings Jean Christian Barry, Dashiell Gregory and Hannah Clarke Levine.
Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical brings everyone’s favorite streaming series to hilariously-twisted life on stage. With book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Hogue, Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical is a wild and irreverent send-up of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things and all its campy ’80s glory. Take a trip back to Hawkins, Indiana, 1983: when times were simpler, hair was bigger, and unsupervised children were getting snatched by inter-dimensional creatures. Join Mike, Eleven, Lucas, Dustin, and the whole Hawkins gang for a night of adventure, thrills, pubescent angst, heavy synth, poor parenting, convoluted love triangles, cheap effects, dancing monsters, and maybe, just maybe… justice for everyone’s favorite missing ginger, Barb Holland.
The news happily comes as Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has come out as gay after being “scared” for years. The 18-year-old shared the news with his fans in a video posted on TikTok.
Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical plays through March 5, 2023 at Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s (308 W. 46th Street). Tickets are $49-$99 for all performances. A limited amount of VIP Bean Bag chairs are available for $149. All prices included $1.50 facility fee. To purchase tickets or for further information, visit StrangerSings.com. Weekly performance schedules vary; see the calendar below or visit StrangerSings.com.
