Paris is always a good idea, even at home

Enjoy these fall design inspirations from the City of Light and Essential Home.

Paris known as the city of love that has influenced various areas such as art and culture in this city, so it is perfect for this project that brings together mid-century pieces, it consists of a large dining room that inspires us and makes us lighter, both by the artwork by Essential Home and the bright lighting by DelightFULL.

From Audrey Hepburn Words ‘’Paris is always a good idea.” And especially now that we are a little bit obsessed with that Parisian Je ne sais quoi after Maison & Objet.

So, from all that passion and inspiration Somewhere in Clichy – in the 9th arrondissement of Paris – there is a stunning place that was the subject of a home makeover by interior design studio 10surdix, that almost looks like taken from a movie. This French team created an inspiring modern home filled with industrial accents and a mid-century sideboard that you won’t ever forget.

ROOM

Deciding to use an oversized mirror simply placed against the wall they made a way to convey a relaxed vibe in such a wide space as this living room. The concrete wall behind the television was given a special touch with the hand painted flowers on the top. The choice of neutral colors contrasts with the gold and black tones, giving it a touch of elegance and luxury mixed with simplicity. The use of the mirror gives the room a certain spaciousness, giving the illusion that the space is larger than it actually is. This more minimalist style adds a sense of comfort and welcome.

MONOCLES

In the center of this French movie there is an English star, as big as James Bond itself – Monocles Side Board. This movie-inspired sideboard makes all the difference in the room. With dark walnut and gold plated brass finishes, this mid-century piece can light up a room all by itself. The monocles circles are engraved on the back and side of the unit, giving it a strong personality and high end look. It is a perfect piece of furniture for retro lovers or mid-century admirers, due to the knurling knobs on the drawers or the tapered legs.

This Remodel Home, was entirely made by the French trio, the open plan living is very characteristic of industrial interiors. The more modern and slightly bohemian look was achieved not only by Essential Home’s Monocles sideboard but also by DelightFull’s minimalist Clark chandelier.

CLARK

This modern pendant light piece is one of the most iconic pieces, handmade through the artisans at DelightFULL who work the brass, using the technique of bending the brass twice, which allows for a brighter light. The finish is in gold, which makes the lamp more luxurious and elegant. Clark manages to make the pendant light classy, and it is perfect for this mid-century dining room.

BRUBECK

The canopy between the master bedroom and the corridor was made especially for this sole purpose in the studios’ workshops near Paris. The wall fixtures are also bespoke pieces by the mid-century lighting brand DelightFull, the Brubeck wall sconces.

Inspired by a timeless musical instrument, the pipe organ is iconic for Jazz, the style of music that best represents DelightFULL (mid-century). However, this lamp was inspired by Dave Brubeck a unique name in American Jazz, so it manages to combine Jazz history and light up the hallway all with a gold art deco finish.

KITCHEN

The kitchen of this remodeling project is an open space because it allows optimizing the space becoming more practical and joins two rooms that we usually spend more time, not forgetting that the two styles of these rooms should complement each other.

It’s also worth mentioning the natural light that the whole house has and the kitchen is no exception, this light allows us to bring good feelings, good mood and joy to the house.
