‘Schitt’s Creek’ star’s Instagram post hints at ‘Happiest Season’ sequel

Dan Levy’s recent Instagram post has fans talking about a Happiest Sequel!

Recently, the Schitt’s Creek actor posted a selfie with his Happiest Season co-star Aubrey Plaza, according to Out Magazine. Apparently, the two “ran into” each other in Italy. Plaza is reportedly in Italy filming a new project entitled Spin Me Round with Alison Brie.

Levy and Plaza (along with Brie) both starred in last year’s lesbian Holiday rom-com treat Happiest Season, with Clea DuVall as director. With all three Happiest season actors together in Italy at the same time, it has fans speculating that there might actually be a Happiest Season sequel in the cards. It wouldn’t be a surprise, since the last one was such a hit, becoming the most-watched film on Hulu

“Ran into my favorite witch in Tuscany,” Levy wrote on Instagram last week.

It’s also suspect because DuVall confirmed last year that she would be open to doing a sequel.

“I have a couple of ideas. We all had such a great time making the movie that we were talking about it then,” she said at the time. “But it was also just like, who knew if anybody would care about the movie or not? So I definitely am more than open to it.”

If you’re wondering what Spin Me Round is about, according to IMDb, it’s about a woman who “wins an all-expenses trip to a company’s gorgeous ‘institute’ outside of Florence, and also the chance to meet the restaurant chain’s wealthy and charismatic owner. She finds a different adventure than the one she imagined.”
