The Crown Season 3 Release Date Confirmed
We have all been waiting very very patiently since Dec 8 2017, when the crown’s last season (Season 2) aired on Netflix.
Since then we have been fed little drips of information about a full re-cast with Oscar-winning Olivia Coleman as the first to be announced as Queen Elizabeth II, replacing the Emmy nominated Claire Foy.
Season 3 has just been confirmed as coming to our screens on November 17, 2019 with a tantalizingly short clip:
It’s almost two years since the last installment. The rumor is that Season 3 and 4 have been filmed back to back, so the hope is that we won’t have to wait another two years for Season 4!
Notable new cast members are:
- Tobias Menzies – Prince Philip,
- Helena Bonham Carter – Princess Margaret
- Charles Dance – Lord Luis Mountbatten
- Emerald Fennell – Camilla Parker Bowles
- Josh O’Conner – Prince Charles
- Ben Daniels – Anthony Armstrong Jones
- Jason Watkins – Harold Wilson, the Labor Party Leader and Prime Minister of the day.
Starting in 1964 we expect just as much crazy household intrigue and national drama as the first two seasons with events such as the rise of the Beatles and England winning the soccer World Cup in 1966.
