The Rainbow Book Fair is back!

The Rainbow Book Fair, the largest LGBTQ+ book event in the US, is back in person.

The Rainbow Book Fair is totally unique as it brings together people who write, read, publish, and sell our books in a friendly, supportive and communicative environment.

The last RBF was in 2019, but for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has not been an in-person event. But now it’s returning, with exhibitors coming from all around the world to show their books to an enthusiastic audience of queer book lovers.

The New York Rainbow Book Fair is America’s longest-running LGBT book fair, and the largest LGBT book event in the country. It began in 2009 and has grown each successive year, offering the public inside information, book discounts and giveaways.

The Eleventh Annual Rainbow Book Fair will take place in New York City on April 22, 12pm to 6p.m. 2023, at the LGBT Community Center at 208 W.13th Street in the West Village. For full details go here.

The books exhibited will span all the genres of LGBTQ+ literature, from scholarly and serious to campy and zany, from books for young readers to “adult” books. Come along as a reader or get involved as a publisher or exhibitor. More details on how to get involved in the event are here.
