Trans composer Russell Louder releases new album

Multitalented Canadian trans artist Russell Louder releases HUMOR.

Russell Louder, who goes by they/them, released ‘HOME’ via Lisbon Lux Records with the track receiving its premiere courtesy of Consequence of Sound. The electro-pop single was lifted from their latest album, HUMOR, and has already been selected as Exclaim!’s 29 Most Anticipated Canadian Albums of 2021.

Louder has a strong voice in the Canadian LGBTQ community and is committed to breaking dogmas and promoting inclusivity through music and culture.

A trans artist originally from Prince Edward Island, Louder is now based in Montreal. Working within the electro-pop genre they have a powerful and clear voice reminiscent of Florence and the Machine, London Grammar, Austra, Eurythmics or La Roux. Both poignant and danceable, Louder’s sound has been compared to Annie Lennox and the late trans artist Sophie.
