‘Unicorn’ is the horror short about bisexuality you need to see
Unicorn is a new bisexual horror/comedy short film now on Hulu as part of Bite Size Halloween.
You can watch Unicorn also on Hulu’s YouTube channel as well. It’s smart, stylish, funny as hell, and well-worth your 14 minutes.
Season two of 20th Digital Studio’s Bite Size Halloween, a short film series that ranges from horror comedy to psychological thrillers, is now available to stream on Hulu. Created by up-and-coming filmmakers, these films will screen across digital and broadcast platforms Freeform, FX, and Hulu’s Huluween platform hub and YouTube channel.
Arbi Pedrossian, 20th Digital Studio VP of Development, says, “This is our most diverse slate yet and we are extremely proud of the filmmakers we worked with this year to safely, in the time of COVID, produce these excellent films. We know audiences will love these twisted, culturally relevant stories and leave wanting more.”
Bite Size Halloween 2021 features 18 emerging filmmakers representing a spectrum of styles, identities, countries, and backgrounds. Through both horror and comedy, these shorts take on issues such as race, gender, motherhood, beauty, sexuality, the environment, and workplace safety. The long term goal of 20th Digital Studio’s short film programs is to continue to guide and finance the growth of these artists’ careers and to transition some of the shorts into longer features. 20th Digital is currently shooting the first feature developed in this way, expected to debut on Hulu in 2022.
Co-written by actor Charles Gould (The Big Sick, Search Party) and director Matt Porter, Unicorn is a nightmare come true as a three-way hookup goes from paradise to predatory in a few minutes. A bisexual man meets an attractive couple to explore the possibilities of life as a ‘unicorn’—a drama free, emotionally non-threatening third. But he finds out this perfect couple have something else entirely on their agenda.
In addition to Unicorn there are several other LGBT stories and creators in this year’s slate of Bite Size Halloween.
