Warmer weather cocktails perfect for BBQs and cookouts

Spring is here, and summer is right around the corner! So, it’s time for a few cocktails!

After such a hectic year, this summer is going to be all about fun, relaxation and food! But, you’re going to need some nice cocktails to go along with your summer barbeques and cookouts.

Here is a list of our favorite spring and summer cocktails!


Daiquiri
Spring and Summer Cocktails

Rum, lime and sugar go back a long way in the Caribbean. The classic Daiquiri brings them together in a perfect blend of BACARDÍ Superior rum, the crispness of fruit and the sweetness of sugar. Serve it ice cold for a bracingly refreshing drink.

2 OZ BACARDÍ SUPERIOR RUM

1 OZ LIME JUICE

2 TSP EXTRA FINE SUGAR

Place sugar and freshly pressed lime juice into a cocktail shaker and stir until sugar has been dissolved. 

Then pour in the BACARDÍ Superior rum and fill the shaker with half-cubed ice, followed by some half-crushed ice. 

Place the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. 

Finally, strain through a fine tea strainer into a chilled coupette. 


Hurricane 

Big in New Orleans and served to this day in the French quarter. This is truly the drink of Mardi Gras, because of its exotic blend of passion fruit, orange, and a hint of lime.

1 OZ BACARDÍ BLACK RUM

3/4 OZ BACARDÍ SUPERIOR RUM

1 OZ ORANGE JUICE

1 OZ LIME JUICE

1 OZ PASSION FRUIT SYRUP

1 TSP GRENADINE SYRUP

Combine all ingredients into a shaker with plenty of ice.

Shake vigorously.

Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice. 

Garnish with a lemon wheel, orange peel and a cherry. 


Rum Punch

A favorite aperitif in the Caribbean, an ice cool rum punch is perfect for any party. Made with BACARDÍ Superior rum & BACARDÍ Black rum, it offers a delicious medley of fruit flavors.

1 OZ BACARDÍ SUPERIOR RUM

1/2 OZ BACARDÍ BLACK RUM

1/4 OZ GRENADINE

1 OZ ORANGE JUICE

1 OZ PINEAPPLE JUICE

1/2 OZ CRANBERRY JUICE

Fill a highball glass with cubed ice. 

Add all ingredients into the glass. 

Stir to combine. 

Garnish with a lemon wedge. 


Raspberry Mojito

Mojitos come in all shapes and sizes. A combination of raspberries, mint, and BACARDÍ Raspberry Flavored rum, this one lends a berry kick to the traditional mojito.

2 PARTS BACARDÍ RASPBERRY FLAVORED RUM

3 RASPBERRIES

4 LIME WEDGES

2 TSP SUGAR

12 FRESH MINT LEAVES

TOP WITH CLUB SODA

Build all ingredients into a highball glass and lightly muddle. 

Add crushed ice and stir. 

Top with club soda and stir lightly before serving. 

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and raspberry. 


Limónade
Spring and Summer Cocktails

Fresh and tart, lemonade combines with BACARDÍ Limón rum for a truly invigorating drink, a worthy companion for those long hot summer afternoons.

1 1/2 OZ BACARDÍ LIMÓN FLAVORED RUM

3 OZ LEMONADE

Fill a highball glass with ice.

Pour in BACARDÍ Limón rum, followed by lemonade. 

Stir gently. 

Garnish with a lemon wedge. 


Coconut & Pineapple

The tropical combination of light BACARDÍ Coconut rum and fresh pineapple over ice demands your attention. It’s a classy alternative to the creamy richness of a Piña Colada.

1 1/2 OZ BACARDÍ COCONUT FLAVORED RUM

3 OZ PINEAPPLE JUICE

Fill a highball glass with cubed ice. 

Pour in BACARDÍ Coconut flavored rum and pineapple juice. 

Mix well. 

Garnish with a pineapple slice. 


Old Cuban
Spring and Summer Cocktails

Inspired by BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho dark rum, legendary NYC mixologist Audrey Saunders created a new cocktail to showcase it. A sparkling combination of rum and sparkling wine, the Old Cuban is on its way to becoming a modern classic.

2 OZ BACARDÍ RESERVA OCHO RUM

2 1/2 OZ MARTINI & ROSSI® PROSECCO

4 MINT LEAVES

1 OZ SIMPLE SYRUP

1 OZ LIME JUICE

2 DASHES BITTERS

Combine all the ingredients (except prosecco) into a cocktail shaker with ice.

Shake vigorously.

Double strain, and top with prosecco. 

Garnish with a mint leaf float. 


Summer Splash

What’s more summery than lemon-lime cocktails? Bring out the BACARDÍ Lime Flavored rum, lemonade and soda when you’re hanging out with friends.

1 1/2 OZ BACARDÍ LIME FLAVORED RUM

1 1/2 OZ LEMONADE

1 1/2 OZ LEMON-LIME SODA OR CLUB SODA

Fill a highball glass with ice.

Build all ingredients directly into the glass. 

Stir gently to combine.

Garnish with a lemon wedge. 


Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri

Bring on the summertime vibes with a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri, a sweeter take on the traditional.

1 1/2 OZ BACARDÍ SUPERIOR RUM

3/4 OZ LIME JUICE

3/4 OZ SIMPLE SYRUP

3-4 SLICED STRAWBERRIES

1 CUP(S) CRUSHED ICE

Combine all ingredients in a blender.

Add 1 cup of crushed ice and blend until slushy consistency forms. 

Serve in individual highball glasses.

Garnish with a strawberry slice. 


Jump Shot

Half BACARDÍ Spiced Rum, half your favorite chilled local IPA – what’s not to love? The Jump Shot is the wingman you’ve been waiting for.

3/4 OZ BACARDÍ SPICED RUM

3/4 OZ YOUR FAVORITE CHILLED LOCAL IPA

Grab a shot glass.

Pour 1 part BACARDÍ Spiced Rum into the glass. 

Top off with 1 part your favorite chilled IPA. 

Serve and enjoy!


Jungle Bird
Spring and Summer Cocktails

A bracing way to start the evening with a combination of BACARDÍ Black rum and Martini & Rossi Bitter liqueur. But with no rough edges thanks to the pineapple and lime which give this classic a tropical vibe.

1 1/2 OZ BACARDÍ BLACK RUM

1/2 OZ MARTINI & ROSSI® BITTER LIQUEUR

1 1/2 OZ PINEAPPLE JUICE

3/4 OZ LIME JUICE

3/4 OZ SIMPLE SYRUP

Place all of the ingredients into a shaker and add ice. 

Shake vigorously.

Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with crushed ice.

Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a pineapple leaf.
