‘West Wing’ special debuts emotional trailer

‘West Wing’ is returning to our screens for the first time in 13 years with a special episode airing on HBO Max on October 15 as a benefit for nonprofit organization When We All Vote.

The special is a stage adaption based on the season 3 episode “Hartsfield’s Landing” and will feature members of the show’s original cast including Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Rob Lowe, Janel Moloney, Dulé Hill, Richard Schiff and Bradley Whitford. In addition, Sterling K. Brown will play President Bartlet’s chief of staff, Leo McGarry, the role originally played by the late John Spencer.

The special will also contain information for voters, a get out the vote message from Michelle Obama (a founder of When We All Vote) and special appearances by Bill Clinton, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Samuel L. Jackson and former West Wing castmember Elisabeth Moss.

A new trailer for the special was recently released giving us a first look at the special and how they have transferred it to the stage. Plus, we get a peak behind the scenes at the cast clearly enjoying being back together.

“A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote” will premiere on HBO Max on October 15.
